What is your passion in life and how to find your passion?

When you were a kid remember how much you loved doing something like playing with your toys or playing basketball.  Remember how when you were at that age you would do what ever you can to continue what you were doing.  For me it was playing basketball.  I would do anything I can do keep playing basketball.  You can say I had passion for it at an early age.  I knew I loved it way before knowing what the word passion meant!

Now you’re probably thinking that’s great Yves but what does it have to do with me right?  Well what’s your passion now as a “grown up”  After years of dedicating myself to basketball I knew that I wouldn’t be able to make that into a living of mine (there were tons of people way better, stronger, and taller than me plus I’m filipino we aren’t that tall hahahaha).  I knew that I had to find another passion.  But I knew it wasn’t something that I can spend a day, week, or months looking around for to find it.  I knew that I had to basically experience life growing up and learning many different in life to find that passion.  So are part of my growing and learning I went through tons of different things.  Went through tons of different classes, lots of books, seminars etc….

I remember one of my mentors asking me this question that helped me with my passions in life which was “If you could do anything in life if money wasn’t an object and you couldn’t fail what would you do?” Based on that question I knew it evolved helping people in one way or another.  I always had a passion of helping others succeed in what they are doing.

When you google the definition of passion it’s:

1. Strong and barely controllable emotion.
2. A state or outburst of such emotion.

It’s something that fires you up when you get up in the morning to do it.  You need that passion to be burning so hot for you so that when you run into problems you’ll continue to push through it.  You’ll also need it to help you past those haters and turn them into your motivators!  You’re passion is also something that you can find fun to do day in and day out.
Another thing to think about passion is many of the people out there who are multi millionaires have extremem passion for what they are doing.  They continue to say that it’s not about the money but that they just love doing what they do.

You can’t fake passion for something because people will see it plus those who don’t have the passion for something usually quit when it starts getting rough anyway.
