New Years Goals Vs Resolutions

Do you set new years goals or resolutions?? Well are they the same you ask? To be personally they are quite different.
The new year is coming and with that comes the hope of having a better year then the last year. Like many people I used to set my new years resolutions before the new year would come. They would be like lose weight, make more money, etc…. Then when the year would be up I would look at the resolutions that I made almost a year ago and to my disappointment see that I only accomplished a few of them.
Fast forward to another year when I stumbled upon something that showed me the reason resolutions don’t work. Resolutions don’t work for most people because they have been setting new years resolutions year in and year out and don’t accomplish them. So they go through the cycle every single year and at the years end wonder why they never achieved them.
Now with new years goals I personally have had better results. I feel that with goals I am able to set an actual game plan for what I need to do to achieve them. And also with goals I set them every single month and look over my yearly goal to see where I stand with that goal.
Maybe it’s just a personal preference with my choosing to write new years goals vs resolutions because with resolutions I feel like I was just spinning my wheels year after year having the same resolution and not achieving it. But with goals I write them and have had better luck achieving them.
