A couple post ago (why affirmations don’t work and what to use instead) I talked about what you need to start doing instead of using affirmations.  Many of you like myself probably have affirmations that you already used.  You can easily turn those into afformations.

All you would need to do it turn the affirmation into a question form.  For example the affirmation I am healthy and wealthy can be changed into something like this, “Why am I now healthy and wealthy?”

Do you see the difference from that afformation examples compared to the affirmation.  You’re subconscious mind actually looks for ways to answer that question for you.  The great thing about these afformations is that are truly empowering questions.

Here are a few afformation examples that you can start using right away.

- Why am I getting better and better every day in every way?

- Why is everything I need coming to be easily and effortlessely?

- Why am I the master of my life now?

- Why is my team growing?

- Why do I generate 100 leads a day?

- Why do I now run a successful internet marketing business?

- Why do I now make 10k a month?

- Why am I now growing financially prosperous every day?

There are literally hundreds of afformation examples that I can write down I just gave you a few that you can start using for yourself tonite.

Just remember to make your own afformations all you need to do is write down exactly what it is that you want.  Make sure you state it in the positive form and then turn it into an empowering question.

Affirmations do not work!  That’s a pretty bold statement right?!?!?  What am I talking about you ask?  Those do work, I’ve seen them on the secret and I’ve heard so many people use them and get exactly what they want, how can they NOT work?

Affirmations work to some but not everyone.  Yes it is true that what we focus on tends to show up in our lives but merely reciting affirmations day in and day out just doesn’t cut it anymore.

See I used to say my affirmations daily until I was blue in the face.  I would wake up in the morning and recite them.  During the day I would bring out my phone and say them as well.  It was to the point that I had them memorized and over time I felt like I was just reading words and wasn’t internalizing them like your suppose to.

Then I was introduced to something called “afformations” invented by a man named Noah St. John.  I started reading his books and soon realized exactly why my affirmations just weren’t working for me anymore.  I soon realized just why I kept saying them yet they weren’t manifesting in my life.  Today I’m going to talk to you about the reasons why affirmations just don’t work anymore .

Reason # 1 why affirmations don’t work:

We may say the affirmations on the conscious level but subconsciously our mind might be telling us “ya right, you’re joking right!”  Think about this statement for a second “I have a million dollars in my bank account”  Unless you actually have a million dollars in your bank account your mind is telling you no you don’t you don’t even have a tenth of that money.

Reason # 2 why affirmations don’t work:

We have to remember that the subconscious mind answers to our questions and doesn’t answer to statements.  When we ask ourselves actual questions more than likely the mind starts to go to work on finding the answer for you.  When you just state something whether it’s true or false you don’t give your mind something to think about.  So instead of saying statements try asking yourself empowering questions.  Like the example above with the million dollars why don’t you use, “Why do I have a million dollars in my bank account?”  You may not have that now but your mind starts to go to work for you to see how can you accomplish that.  Sure it won’t happen overnight nor will it happen if you just sit there and ask questions all day to yourself.  You have to actually DO something to get something.

Why affirmations don’t work and what can you start doing now:

Instead of using affirmations try to put those statements into a form of an empowering questions.  Remember your subconscious mind answers the questions you give it.  Ask the right type of questions that are still in the positive form.  You don’t really modify the affirmations instead you put it in question form.

Here are a few examples that I use for my afformations:

1. Instead of using: Everyday in every way I’m getting better and better

Use this instead: Why am I getting better and better every day in every way?

2. I am a leader

Why am I a leader?

There are hundreds of questions out there that you can use.  Google Noah St John and afformations and you can find out more about his teachings with why affirmations don’t work.

It really boils down to how bad you want something and how hard you are willing to work to get what you want.

Dare to be different

Happy Tuesday everyone.  Today I decided to share a quick little video about how being different is actually a good thing.

“It’s the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones that do”.  I won’t go in more detail but this is a great video and motivates me in my business.  You gotta remember that what we do on the online world is different than what everyone else is used to.  Most people are used to working a job where they trade time for dollars.

Most people don’t like their jobs but yet they continue to do it because they think that’s all there is out there.  We are different, we know there’s more to life than working for someone else and making them rich.

If you are new to this online marketing you’ll run into the people you think you’re crazy but I promise you to keep at it.  It’s the people who think different are the ones who make a difference in the world.

Be grateful for what you do and embrace being different.

What do you need to do to truly have wealth in your life?

Wealth isn’t just having a couple thousands dollars in your account.  Wealth is not just about possesion of money or toys.  Wealth is having an abundance of something that even if you stopped doing someone you will still have an abundance of it.  Wealth isn’t the easiest thing to attain.  The word wealth is different for a lot of people.  Some see it as having lots of money.  Some see wealth as having a abundance of happiness.  Wealth is what ever you thing is it in your own meanings.  But how do we attain the type of wealth that we would like where we no longer have to do things that we don’t particularly like (your job if you still have one) or have time freedom to do what ever you would like without worrying about things (money) ?

There are three keys to wealth that we need to remember .

The first keys to wealth is your attitude.

- Your attitude towards your life will greatly affect the kind of wealth you will attract to you.  Notice how people will bad attitudes tend to always have bad things happen to them.  Well it’s because they are attracting it to them.  Focus on what you want to attract in life so make sure you have a great attitude.  In life good and bad things happen to every one of use, it’s part of life but we have to learn how to adjust our attitudes so when things aren’t going so well we can change out feelings about it.

The second keys to wealth is knowledge.

- Part of attaining wealth is knowing what you need to do.  What you learn is life that can help you get there is one of the keys to wealth.  But simply knowing something is far different than learning something and applying it to use.  There are a lot of smart people who are dead broke because they might not necessarily use their knowledge.  Remember learn knowledge has to be followed up with activity knowledge.  Plus you can internalize the information a lot better when you apply it to what ever you are doing!

The last key to wealth is opportunity.

- So your attitude is on point.  You have the knowledge to do what it takes and you are also doing activity knowledge but what do you use it in?  Meaning you need a good opportunity to attain that wealth.  Simply having a good attitude and doing some activity but not the right activity without some sort of opportunity won’t get you there.  Opportunity can be many different things.  It can be a business opportunity that you find your passion in.  It could be something you can apply all your knowledge with.

By following these three keys to wealth these should help you get to that desired outcome far easier than just simply doing without any direction.

I’ll keep it short so you can read the poem below from David Weatherford.  In this business we are constantly on the go go go mentality.  We sometimes forget exactly why we do the things we do in life.  This poem that I read from the 4 hour work week puts things back into prospective for me.  We really have to learn to slow down at times the “smell the roses” too often we get too caught up in what we are doing and we completely miss the real reason we are in this business.  Enjoy this poem.

Who is the one person that determines your success?  Who is that same person who also determines your failures?  This same person can be your cause to make 100k per month and at the same time can be your downfall to not making ANY money per month.  Yes mlm businesses is a team sport but at the end of the day only one person can get you that desired goal or defeat.  Who is this person?  Is it GOD?  Is it an all mighty mentor?  No Wait a guru?  Your team members?

The answer is NONE of them determines what you get or don’t get.  The only person who gets you there is

YOU! and Its all about YOU

You have to remember that if you want success it’s completely up to you to go out there and get it.  No one can give it to hand it to your on a silver plate.  Getting to success isn’t a destination but it’s a journey of your big goals that you are trying to accomplish.  How much you achieve is also up to you in this business.  There aren’t very many people in this industry that just become successful overnight or was handed a downline.  They all worked their butts off and realized that it’s up to them to get it.

Those who failed in life merely gave up on the dream that had or worst never got started on their dream.  They just learned how to settle for mediocrity and stayed with the status quo.  We all know what the status quo gets you now a days right.  Working a dead end job hoping to get that 25 cent increase once a year and waiting excitedly on that two week vacation per year.  The status quo gets you to keep working till your 65 only to realize that your 401 k has now turned into a 200.5 k and you have to go back to work.

You can choose your destiny in life it’s really up to you where you decide to go.  You can take the path less traveled and reach that success and your goals you’ve always wanted or you can choose to live a life of settlement and just be.  Remember working from home in your mlm business IS hard but work that one hard for ten years versus working a job for ten years and you’ll see two different sides of the coin.

Either way it’s all on you on what you want to get and only you.

Is this even possible to change your work from home business in 30 days or less?  What elements are needed in order to succeed in this goal?  First of all how big or small would the change have to be?  It depends on the person as far as how big or the small the change needs to be in their business.  Now I’m not writing an article telling you that in 30 days you’re business will change from $0 a month to $30,000 a month I’m mean sure it’s possible but I’m talking more about your actual mindset for your business.

Many of us who are in the work from home mlm business want more because we like the progression in life.  Even when some of the goals are achieved we set newer and bigger goals to attain.  It’s a cycle to continue growing whether it your income or your mindset.

I’ve also noticed that there are people out there that think just attaining all those monetary goals is all you need to be happy in life.  I often hear them say “well when I make X amount of dollars, I’ll be happy” or “when I make X amount of dollars I can start saving, donating to charity, etc…”  What many don’t realize is in order to reach those goals you must do those activities NOW.

To be happy doesn’t require ANY amount of money.  In fact all money does it makes you a bigger person of what you were before.  So if you were a happy person you’ll be an even happier person.  If you were an a$$### than guess what you might be an bigger one if you don’t change!  Look at the people in third world countries who don’t even have access to hundreds of things that we take for granted.  They are happy to have a meal on their tables.

When I went to an internet marketing seminar a few months back I learned something from a woman named Susan Sly.  She is an multi million dollar earner in the network marketing field.  She has a great story and she is an awesome and very personable person.  Make sure you Google her to learn more about her and her story.  In her breakout session she talked about how you can change your business by simply doing one thing before you do to bed.

That simple thing was writing out a gratitude list of what you were thankful for from the day that just finished up.  So I started implementing this to my daily routine and I started writing 10 things that I’m grateful for each night before I went to sleep.  The first week I found it hard to write 10 things but as I continued to keep journaling what I was grateful for I found it easier the more I did it.

I soon started seeing just HOW much I can be grateful for each and every day.  I realized that I live a life of abundance and even though I don’t have some of the things that it was just temporary.

So I ask you to start doing a gratitude list of at least 10 things each night for 30 days to feel what I feel now.  If you feel like just don’t have enough start doing this, I promise you that you too will realize that you are blessed with abundance.  This exercise alone will change your work from home business because you will start attracting more things, sometimes its weird how the law of attraction works!

Yesterday I talked about how to generate mlm quality leads using paid methods.  Today I will talk about how to generate them using free methods.

The other traffic category is free traffic.  This tends to be everyone’s favorite because you don’t have to pay for it.  One of the most known free traffic methods is content marketing/article marketing.  Getting your content out there is a great way to get traffic to your website plus it’s FREE!  You can also leverage that single content to article directories and you can regurgitate that content into other mediums like video, podcast, ebooks, etc..  With that one content you can syndicate out to several locations thus helping you with more traffic.

You can also use social media as a means to generate free traffic.  Simply sharing to your friends or list a website can sometimes generate traffic.  The quick social media sites you could be using would be facebook, twitter, myspace, linkedin.  Those are the few you can use right away to generate some free traffic to help you get some mlm quality leads.  The great thing about social media is you can easily connect with your prospect in those websites.  It makes it a little bit easier for your prospect to find trust in you because they can put a face to what they are doing.  And you know what they say “people buy from people who they know, like and trust”, so social media really bridges that gap between prospect to prospector.

Social bookmarking your content would be another way to gain traffic to help you gain more mlm quality leads.  Sharing your content on places like digg delicious is a good place and if people like your content you will get more eyes as in more people will vote for your content.

Of course you can always you tribepro (make sure you check out my tribepro review if you don’t know what tribepro is) to help you syndicate your content by other people who are part of your tribe.

Other free ways to generate traffic is forum marketing.  In forum marketing you join a forum that is targeted to your niche and you simply become part of that forum.  You share valuable information to people and when people find value in what you share they want to know more about you.

Blog commenting is also great, but has to be done correctly and not in a way that you are just spamming other’s blogs.  Just like forum marketing your comments have to be relevant to the post.  Simply saying good post isn’t going to check it and you might not even see your comment on that website.  I remember writing a good comment on a great marketers website and I was the first person to comment when I checked my stats for that day I saw that this website sent me almost one hundred clicks just from my comment alone!

The great thing about free traffic to generate mlm quality leads is it’s FREE!  You don’t pay a single penny but you pay with your time.  Unlike paid traffic free traffic takes time, sometimes articles or content that you’ve written only send you a few hits a day.  Free traffic is more a long term traffic method because this kind of traffic will keep sending you traffic even after you’ve finished making the content.

Personally I like to do a combination of both to generate mlm leads for my business.  I like to do some paid traffic so I always have a constant flow of traffic to my website and I like to keep writing content so that when people do opt in on my website I’ll still continue to have content for them to enjoy.  Generally my method is pay to get them in to see you then keep them there with your content so they want to stay around for awhile.

Looking for a way to generate mlm quality leads?  Are you online trying to figure out a way to bring in those prospects?  So how do you go about getting prospects to take a look at what you have to offer?  Well in short you need traffic and you need lots of it!  There are hundreds of ways to generate traffic to your website but they are broken down in two categories.  One category is paid traffic and the other category is free traffic.  In this article I’m going to talk about the two different categories of traffic for your website and also provide some examples of that kind of traffic.

One of the ways to generate mlm quality leads online is something called paid traffic.  Paid traffic is everywhere.  I’m sure most of you are familiar with Google.  They have one of the biggest paid traffic systems called google adwords.  Facebook is also another heavy hitter coming out with their own version of pay per click.  The major search engines have some sort of pay per click that you can use.

Other paid traffic out there can be something like solo ads or ezine advertising.  With these types of advertising you are basically granted access to someone’s list and are able to send them an email or advertising.  Keep in mind these can be highly targeted if you choose the right list to advertise on.

There is also things out there called pay per view where you pay for every thousand views unlike pay per click where you pay with each click.  Each one has it’s own benefits and you really have to be constantly testing or else you’ll burn your wallet rather quickly.

You can use things called traffic exchanges where you send traffic to other websites and in return they do the same for you.  There are websites where you go to website for a certain amount of time and you get credit and in return they can show your website to other people.  Generally it’s kind of hard to generate leads from there because almost everyone is pitching something but you can generate leads.  With these programs you can also build a downline of members that you can email much like a solo ad which is highly effective.

The great thing about paid traffic is it’s immediate and you can generate mlm quality leads rather quickly for your website or product.  It very scalable in that if you want to advertise more you just put in more cash.  The bad thing with paid traffic is your traffic is only available when your cash is available.  Meaning when you run out of money or stop paying that traffic method your traffic also stops.  It’s a good way to get in a niche if you want immediate quick traffic.

I can go more in depth with paid traffic in another article I just want you to get an introcution to it in case you didn’t know much about it.  These are just some of the paid traffic methods out there and tomorrow I will be discussing the free ways to generate traffic to help you get mlm quality leads for your business.
